What is tabletop gaming?

Tabletop game is a general term used to refer to board games, card games, dice games, miniatures wargames, tile-based games and other games that are normally played on a table or other flat surface.

Tabletop games can be classified according to the general form, or equipment utilized:

What are the benefits of playing tabletop games?

  • Have fun and feel good. Sharing laughter and fun releases endorphins and promotes empathy, compassion and trust with others.
  • Bonding time. Playing games with your kids, or with your friends, is a perfect way to spend time together and an excellent way to strengthen bonds.
  • Memory formation and cognitive skills. Allowing your kids to play a board game helps them practice essential cognitive skills, like problem solving. Board games help the brain retain and build cognitive associations well into old age too.
  • Reduces risks for mental diseases. Keeping your mind engaged means you are exercising it and building it stronger. A stronger brain has lower risks of losing its power.
  • Lowers blood pressure. The release of endorphins help muscles to relax and blood to circulate, which evidently will lower your blood pressure.
  • Speed up you responses. Participants who regularly played games were far quicker at locating the target than those who didn’t play.
  • Reduce stress. You can always benefit from a healthy distraction like playing a board games since it is an excellent way to kick back and relax.
  • Therapy treatment. Board games are very helpful when they are added to occupational therapy treatments, as well in places like classrooms for special needs to help improve muscle and nerve function over time.

Why is it so enjoyable?

We may now live in a world of Facebook, Pokémon Go, Netflix and iPads, but the fun of board-gaming is irreplaceable. Now, there are so many board games to choose from! Everybody’s busy and we want to bring people back together in a way that’s not just staring at screens. We believe we are supposed to be together and communicating with each other. Board games make these possible.

 How old do I have to be to enjoy tabletop and board games?

Anyone can enjoy tabletop games. We have games for babies, for teenagers, for professionals, for families and even for senior citizens!

How many should we be in order to play games?

We recommend a minimum of 2, and a maximum of 10 in a group. Most games are best played with 4 players.

 Aren’t board games hard?

We have easy games that relieve stress, we have moderate-difficulty games that stimulate your mind and skill just right, but we also have hard games that will put your strategic thinking to the test.

How can we memorize the rules?
